It’s been an interesting week in the world of Recruiting. Here are some things that took place.

The Sunday Scoop

5-foot-1o, 2010, pg Juwan Staten from Dayton, Ohio made the announcement that he is heading to Oak Hill Academy in the fall. Staten who is one of the Top 75 prospects in the class of 2010 made the decision early this week. IPS spotted Oak Hill mentor Steve Smith sitting with Staten’s father this past weekend in Fort Wayne, Indiana during the Spiece Run and Slam. Staten plays his summer ball with All-Ohio Red.

6-foot-6, 2010, sf JD Weatherspoon from Columbus Northland, Ohio picked up a offer from Ohio State. “Air Spoon” who removed his name from Xavier after Sean Miller left for Arizona is one of the top leapers in the class of 2010. He plays his summer ball with All-Ohio Red and seemingly will wait out the recruiting process before he makes a choice anytime soon.

6-foot-4, 2012, sg Dylan Kaufman from Berlin, Ohio has been receiving a wide array of  D1 interest after his performaces at King James and also last weekend at Spiece.

6-foot-4, 2010, cg, Cameron Wright visited Akron over the week. Cameron plays his summer ball with King James.

Final scoop:

There has been rumored to be quite a few transfers going down in the Columbus area do to a recent  school levy failure. Time will tell if some of the kids end up moving around. We will keep you updated on any transactions.
